Soviet bug bit again...
Now I am the perplexed owner of a 1943 made Mosin Nagant 91/30, straight from the ex CCCP arsenal storage: a friend was there to open the boxes and unwrap them from oiled paper.
Looks as if it was made by a drunk blacksmith in a medieval forge. But the barrell is incredibly clean and shiny and the crown is perfect with no traces (or need) of the extensive counterboring that MNs were subjected.
Heck! it even has no rearsenal stamp!
I am looking forward to see if it shoots straight, too.
Pictures will follow.
