Just got around to taking a couple of photos of my newest addition, an 1870/87 Vetterli-Vitali in 10.35 x 47. Bore has some pitting and slugged .421 so I plan to fireform & trim some Lebel brass and make up some rounds for this. It is a LONG rifle, beating my 1881 by a couple of inches. Stock is in good shape with the Terni catouche. Note how similar the Italian rifle & the Swiss 1870 Cadet rifle (last 2 photos) are; which one came first? A friend gave me some loaded Italian rounds dated 1890 and some loose bullets so that I can mic the bullets and measure case dimensions.
Finally got the pictures to post w/Photobucket![Pi_bigsmile Pi_bigsmile]()
